Branch Cook, Supermarket Assistant

Hours of Work: 27.5 hours of part-time work, per week. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 14:00.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, cook and present food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy & safe environment.
2. Assist in the smooth running of the overall kitchen with direction from the management team.
3. Preparation & cooking of sufficient food to provide agreed service level.
4. Adhere to strict food hygiene requirements.
5. Manage day-to-day running of a specific section within the kitchen.
6. Ensure portion control, preparation and storage methods to avoid food wastage.
7. Control stock, food preparation levels and wastage within the area of responsibility.
8. Operate and clean all equipment relating to job role.
9. Contribute towards menu input in all areas.

Job Requirements:

Desirable experience skills and qualifications:

1. City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent
2. Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2
