As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you'll mostly be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You'll work with many experienced technicians who will ensure you have all the tools you need to succeed and excel in your role, giving you opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career.

At a glance

  • Salary: up to £55,000, depending on skills and experience, plus overtime available.
  • Working Hours: Full time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rota, plus working a day shift 1 in 2 Saturdays, at premium overtime rate.
  • Week schedule:
    • Week 1: Monday to Friday – 06:00-14:00
    • Week 2: Monday to Friday – 14:00-22:00
  • Contract type: Permanent role.
  • Location: Central Transport Bracknell Workshop.

About the Role

  • Carry out scheduled repair and maintenance of the on‑site E‑commerce light commercial fleet.
  • Carry out repair and maintenance of outlying commercial and light commercial vehicles for John Lewis and Waitrose branches and CDHs.
  • Maintain best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective repairs and reflecting proper use of spare parts and consumables.

Essential Experience / Qualifications

  • City and Guilds Level 1, 2, 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualifications.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.

Desirable Skills

  • MOT Testing Qualification Class 4 & 7.
  • IRTEC.
  • LGV C+E Driving Licence.
  • EV experience.
