About the role
As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you will primarily repair and maintain our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to VOSA and Partnership standards. You will work alongside experienced technicians who will provide you with the tools and support you need to succeed and progress your career.

- Working Hours: Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rota plus a day shift on 1 of every 2 Saturdays, with premium overtime rate.

- Week 1: Monday‑Friday 06:00‑14:00
- Week 2: Monday‑Friday 14:00‑22:00
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled repair and maintenance of the on‑site e‑commerce light commercial fleet.
- Repair and maintain outlying commercial and light commercial vehicles for John Lewis and Waitrose branches and CDHs.
- Apply best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective repairs, ensuring spare‑parts and consumables usage reflects the level of work performed.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- City and Guilds Levels 1, 2 and 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualification.
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.
Desirable Skills
- MOT testing qualification Class 4 & 7.
- IRTEC qualification.
- LGV C+E driving licence.
- Experience with electric vehicles (EV).
