About the role We have an exciting opportunity to join our Waitrose Customer team as an Advertising Manager.As an Advertising Manager in the Marketing profession you will provide support to and be accountable for the delivery of elements of Waitrose\’s Advertising activities.The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual and able to work under pressure in a fast-moving and creative sector. You\’ll be able to present a compelling vision and help share specialist knowledge with Partners to facilitate effective campaign performance. Your approach will ultimately deliver seasonal and tactical advertising campaigns effectively, on time and on budget. Salary – £45,000.00 – £71,000.00 Expected salary – £45,000 – £58,000 Contract type – This position is a Temporary contract until the end of February 2026. Working pattern/flexible working – The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you\’ll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Advertising team meets one day a week in the Bracknell office to connect. There is a requirement to also attend meetings with stakeholders in London on an ad hoc basis. The number of these stakeholder meetings varies, but is on average one day per fortnight. Location – This role is a hybrid role, home location is Bracknell Interview Date – Friday 27/06/25 Key responsibilities Commission both creative & media agencies with verbal and written briefs for each campaign, ensuring the brief is based on the sound analysis and interpretation of the Master Campaign Brief, customer & market insight and any relevant learning from previous campaigns. Liaise with the relevant internal teams on appropriate messaging and product selection to feature in advertising, Support the media planning process throughout planning, booking and delivery. Together with Advertising Lead and/or Senior Advertising Manager ensure each media plan is fully evaluated and reach, frequency, standout & ROI are maximised. Together with Advertising Lead and/or Senior Advertising Manager, evaluate and make recommendations on creative concepts and final creative and media plans. Ensure plans are shared, or in some cases approved, by various stakeholders at the relevant time and the campaign is optimised across channels. Manage the production process to ensure the final ad is supplied is accurate, regulatory compliant, on time and delivers against quality expectations, is within budget and meets its objectives. Ensure all financial processes, including POs and reconciliations, are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Keep Advertising & Broadcast Media Lead fully informed of progress and outcomes. Monitor and report performance of each campaign, recommending any changes both in-flight, campaign to campaign and year on year changes where appropriate. Essential skills/experience you’ll need Campaign or project management Influencing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders Marketing experience Creative evaluation skills Management of agencies experience Knowledge and understanding of the creative production process and media planning & buying including national press, out-of-home and radio media channels.
