About The Role

Our Customer Delivery Operations are a vital part of our business. Here at the Partnership, our Transport Administrator will take ownership of the department's operational success by assisting site management with daily tasks and project work, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and using your customer experience to be an ambassador of John Lewis and Partners.

Expected Salary - Up to £32,000 (depending on experience)

Contract type - This position is a Secondment until 31.01.2027

Working pattern/flexible working - Our team operates from the office 5 days a week.

Location - This role is based at our Stanley Green - Wilmslow - Customer Delivery Hub

Hours of work - 37.5 hours a week - Predominantly a pattern of 1330-2130 across the weekdays and Saturday 1000-1800

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake administrative tasks relating to Transport and vehicle legal compliance amongst other administration duties.
  • Ensure the operation remains legally compliant with adherence to Domestic and EU Driver’s Hour regulations.
  • Maintain effective relationships with external service providers & internal vehicle maintenance units.
  • Monitor customer delivery routes to ensure high levels of customer service are met.
  • Effectively communicate with all Partners and raise operational issues to the Transport/Site Management Teams in a timely manner, providing handovers at the end of your shift.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent PC Skills including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Maths and very good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good working knowledge of IT Systems
  • Previous Administration experience

Desirable Skills

  • Very good organisation and planning skills with a good working knowledge of Transport Legislation
  • Knowledge of Telematics systems & Route planner
  • Experience with Transport Compliance systems for defective vehicles and driver regulations.
