About the role
As a Service & Selling Coach in one of our John Lewis shops, you\'ll help deliver a unique customer experience through exceptional service. You\'ll use your expertise to train and coach Partners, equipping them with the tools needed to provide the renowned John Lewis service, fostering customer loyalty and trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging training and coaching sessions for Partners, both in groups and individually, to enhance their service and selling skills.
- Provide constructive feedback to support Partners\' personal development.
- Innovate training delivery methods to accommodate various learning styles.
- Plan and deliver inductions for new Partners.
- Support technical training related to shopfloor tools such as headsets, devices, apps, and learning platforms.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and champion the highest standards of service associated with the John Lewis brand.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Confidence in delivering coaching and training, both in groups and individually, including peer feedback.
- Proficiency with computer systems to facilitate and produce training materials.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience in a customer-facing retail environment.
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload effectively.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous team-based work experience.
- Knowledge of learning platforms such as Workday, One Place Learning, and PDW.
- Stakeholder management skills to build relationships with colleagues and subject matter experts.
