About the role

Our Retail Media business is growing and we are on a transformation journey, working with some of the best global brands. We are looking for a Retail Media Sales & Planning Assistant, who will support the sales team in the delivery of outcomes and objectives through ensuring that supplier investments are planned and realised using the right tools and processes. As we accelerate our Retail Media business we need support to ensure all suppliers (small, medium or large) can access our propositions and benefit from WIN-WIN-WIN outcomes, which will offer (i) more engaging experiences for Customers, (ii) growth for JLP, and (iii) growth for suppliers.

A key responsibility of this role will be to collaborate with smaller brands to ensure they are utilising our Ad Tech capabilities most effectively. This role requires you to be comfortable with administrative tasks as well as analysing data to maximise revenue opportunities across our long-tail client base, including sales and planning discussions with brands. You will work closely with Commercial/Trading teams, Customer teams, Retail teams and External Suppliers.

Salary: £29,300.00 - £43,400.00 per annum

Contract type: This is a permanent position

Hours and location of the role: 35 hours per week. Your home location will be our London, Pimlico Head Office. The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Retail Media Sales & Planning team attend the office 3 days a week to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis for key meetings. Any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Category agnostic, supporting sales & planning optimisations dependent on category demand
  • Optimise processes and delivery to maximise supplier investment across various channels, predominantly onsite media
  • Responsible for executing end to end media plans for Sponsored Products and Sponsored Banner campaigns for certain suppliers (across JL.com and app)
  • Comfortable analysing data and work alongside Media Sales Managers to develop strategies to optimise sales revenues
  • You will work across matrix teams internally including sales, media and planners
  • Keep track of booking calendars for tenancy placements including house ads (across JL.com and app), taking an active role in overseeing briefing processes for your category
  • Work with the Media Asset Sales team to ensure suppliers are given ample opportunity to invest in available Assets in a timely way
  • Design & manage the process ensuring that planned activity goes live on time and delivers over the correct, pre-agreed, time periods. Ensuring this is done with minimal error and maximum accuracy
  • Support, and continuously improve, the E2E process for maximising Media Asset Sales across all channels

Essential skills and/or experience you'll need:

  • Experience in sales & marketing or executing media campaigns, analysing and interpreting data
  • Experience working with complex projects and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build, maintain and influence a wide range of stakeholders across multiple teams internally as well as external brands and service providers
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with an ability to manage several competing priorities to deliver the best outcome
  • Evidence in strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment and have a can do attitude

Desirable skills and/or experience you may have:

  • Commercial experience working with brands
  • Experience working with Ad Tech providers (such as Citrus Ad)
  • Relevant experience working in a brand and marketing team for a Supplier, Retailer or Agency
  • Proven ability to analyse campaigns and interpret data to make informed decisions
  • Understands marketing assets, how to appraise their value and negotiate best price
