About the role
- Salary range - Salary up to Β£54,300 per annum depending on skills and experience, with Overtime premium where required
- Contract type - Permanent
- Work Pattern - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
- Location - Fenny Lock (NDC)
What you'll be doing
As a Section Manager at the Vehicle Workshop you will be responsible for managing the daily Workshop operation of the early, late and night shift, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the appropriate Partnership standards. You will ensure that downtime is kept within the prescribed limits, workmanship produced meets the appropriate standards and that Health and Safety measures are in place and adhered to. You will also be responsible for the planning of the MOT and Service programmes for the HGV Fleet, vans and CDH Fleet.
Responsibilities
Essential skills you'll need:
- City & Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualification
- Experience in dealing with Health and Safety and Transport Legislation
- Demonstrated the ability to manage and lead engineering/industrial teams
- A proven background in commercial vehicle repairs and Maintenance
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written
Desirable skills:
- Management or leadership experience
- Good interpersonal and IT skills
- CPC Transport Manager qualification
