As a Loss Prevention Partner (LPP) in the Profit Protection team, you add value to the efficiency and profitability of the shop where you are based and become an integral part of the team. Your role involves investigating trends and reporting on key themes related to shrinkage to protect our profits, patrolling the shop floor to deter theft, and monitoring CCTV for signs of suspicious behaviour.
Due to its nature, you must be 18 years or older to work in this role. You will work on a rota basis and will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Pre‑employment screening for this role includes a 5‑year reference check, basic disclosure, and a 5‑year financial probity check.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the point of contact for branch Profit Protection related issues, escalating as required.
- Mitigate the risk of malicious harm to Partners and Customers.
- Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
- Address all aspects of shrinkage, including external and internal dishonesty, procedural failure, and administrative error.
- Support and coach fellow Partners on how to minimise shrinkage and complete procedures correctly to protect our profits.
- De‑escalate conflict situations in the shop professionally and, when necessary, detain or ban individuals committing offences.
- Support investigations when required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in resolving conflict.
- Great attention to detail with the ability to spot trends and signs of profit loss.
- Good customer service and relationship building skills.
- Previous experience working in a loss prevention role and a customer‑facing environment is beneficial but not essential; full and comprehensive training will be provided in the first few weeks.
