As one of our Technician Specialists, you'll have the opportunity to bring our distinctive John Lewis service directly to customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TV sets as part of a 2-person delivery team. You will also coach and develop other delivery drivers in home installations and customer service, acting as a role model for the excellent service John Lewis is known for.

Note: You must be 18 or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
  • Coach, develop, and assess your delivery colleagues, sharing your knowledge to help them perform at their best.
  • Assist in loading your vehicle with deliveries alongside the warehouse team.
  • Respect customers' homes and handle unexpected situations to find the best solutions.
  • Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use to customers.
  • Stay updated on new products and technologies.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in installation work, with training provided to enhance your skills.
  • Manual C1 UK driving license (max 6 points).
  • DCPC and Tachograph Card.
  • Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including delivering large items.
  • Good understanding of technology.

Starting salary: £34,353 per annum.
