About the role
As an Estimator, you'll be visiting our customers' homes to do full on-site surveys in preparation for any home improvement projects they are fulfilling with us. You'll be a brand ambassador for the John Lewis Partnership and provide customers with a world-class experience using our innovative computerised systems and materials, helping them feel reassured about the full project process.
Salary - £27,000 - £40,000
Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract.
Location - This role is based in the South West. The areas you will be working in are predominantly Bristol and Cheltenham but on occasions will need to travel into other parts of the South West.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing accurate and reliable estimates for our customers' home improvement projects.
- Communicating estimates in a clear and helpful manner to our customers and ensuring that it meets their expectations.
- Liaising with customers if they have any questions or concerns during the process.
- Obtaining customer sign off for the plans you produce.
- Maintaining the distinctive John Lewis service we’re known for right throughout home improvement projects.
- Using your expert knowledge on our product assortments to help customers find exactly what they are looking for.
- Identifying and communicating opportunities for continuous improvement and greater efficiency.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
- Full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points).
- Previous experience of preparing estimates or plans.
- Basic numerical skills to enable you to provide accurate estimates.
- Strong customer service skills.
