About the role
As a Section Manager in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you\’ll manage a team of Partners responsible for direct-to-customer deliveries, ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain and maintaining the high customer service standards associated with the John Lewis brand. You will ensure all operations comply with legal regulations and meet all operational KPIs/SLAs aligned with Partner, customer, and profit metrics.

Role Title: Customer Delivery Hub Section Manager
Positions Available: 4 (2 Permanent, 2 Fixed Term for 7 months)
Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 hours/week, working Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday. Fixed shifts are 06:00-14:00 (permanent and one fixed-term) and 14:00-22:00 (fixed-term).
Location: Origin Park CDH
Salary: £36,400 – £57,600 annually, with a potential shift premium of 22.5%, equating to an additional approx. £8,190 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning operational resources with Partners and agency staff.
- Developing and maintaining effective communication with operational teams.
- Monitoring and analyzing KPIs for continuous improvement.
- Managing driver requirements such as dart tags, fuel cards, and vehicle keys.
- Communicating daily with the transport planning team.
- Overseeing the daily operation of the transport office, including schedules and meetings.
- Being flexible with working hours and responsible for out-of-hours and key holder duties, including site business continuity.
- Acting responsibly in line with CSR commitments and waste management policies.
