About The Role
As a Catering Assistant Team Leader, you\\\βll help oversee the running of the catering operation within the site you work and support a team of Catering Assistants. You\\\βll work alongside the catering management team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for all those using the facility and help create a culture of development and inclusion for the rest of the catering team.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week 11:30-19:30; 2 weekends to be worked based on a 4 week rota

Salary: The annual salary rate for this role is Β£26,200
Essential Skills You\\\βll Need
- Operational experience in Dining Room facilities and the Hospitality industry
- Stakeholder management or senior influencing skills
Desirable Skills You Could Bring
- Food Safety Level 2 and 3
What Will You Do
- Ensure food safety requirements are maintained.
- Full Site & Department Induction training from day 1
- Online Food Safety Level 2 within 3 months and Food Safety Level 3 immediately after both mandatory once in role
- Delegate tasks to the Catering Assistants
- Support the Catering Assistants; maintain good knowledge of daily tasks and facilitate training
- Induct new starters
- Learn and use the Food Monitoring System
- Create weekly rota following Partners\\\β work schedules & holiday approvals
- Online ordering for food and uniforms
- Update department online invoicing & sales details
- Support Team Managers with interviews
- Full training on Department programs to be provided
- Ensure vending operation delivers outstanding service to meet Partners\\\β needs
- Maintain stock inventory across campuses with minimal supervision
- Attend each vending machine as required, ensure it is clean, stocked, and accurately priced
Job Requirements
Apply the John Lewis food safety policies and procedures which include all legislation applicable to the Catering operation. Oversee the opening, closing and daily running of the operation. Prepare food to a high standard.
