Position Overview

This role will be working in a dedicated team in our warehouse and despatch functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and conduct admin tasks and other warehouse functions associated with onsite production.
  • Storage, picking and dispatching of products/orders.
  • Unload and load vehicles and containers.
  • Check and examine products prior to dispatch.
  • Locate products in warehouse and ensure products are labelled and identified.
  • Inspect correct items and quantities that have been picked using product codes and descriptions on pick lists.
  • Follow relevant procedures for packing and dispatching UK, European and export orders.
  • Operate mechanical handling equipment, tools and machinery as trained and authorised and in accordance with safe working practices and operating procedures.
  • All tasks undertaken are conducted with due diligence and high levels of accuracy, efficiency and customer service is maintained.
  • Assist with the management of stocktaking as required.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse and ensure a high degree of housekeeping is maintained in line with the 5S program.
  • Be aware of and observe all security and Health & Safety at Work regulations and requirements, wear protective clothing, footwear and equipment as provided and report all near misses and unsafe acts to your Team Leader.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or alter normal working hours to suit the needs of the business.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with operating a machine.
  • Ability to manage relationships.
  • In date and accredited Forklift License (Counterbalance) and Flexi.
  • Demonstrate adequate experience with MS Excel, Word and Outlook to fulfil the role.
  • Experience working with SAGE.
  • Experience of on-line portal usage for booking third party transport an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage a number of different projects/tasks at any one time.
  • Highly motivated, with a pro-active approach to workload.
  • Confident and determined approach.
  • Methodical and accurate with a good attention to detail.
  • Happy to at times work to strictly deadlines and able to plan work according to timescales.
  • Can work alone and use initiative but also a team player who can help and support others.
  • Full Clean Driving License.

Responsible for ensuring all manufacturing is conducted within the dictates of ISO 9001 to the latest standard to ensure quality objectives are monitored and maintained.
