Due to the continued development of our service, we are looking to appoint a
Compliance and Quality Lead to work closely with our Homecare Manager, Directors and Training Coordinator.
This is a key role designed to strengthen our quality assurance systems, support regulatory compliance and ensure that audit actions are completed in a structured and timely way.
About the Role
The Compliance and Quality Lead will take ownership of key audit, compliance and quality monitoring tasks across the service.
The role will help reduce the ongoing audit workload of the Homecare Manager and Training Coordinator by ensuring that compliance activity is planned, completed, recorded and followed up.
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, confident working independently and able to manage their own workload in a structured, time-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for
- Maintaining the service audit calendar and ensuring audits are completed on time.
- Completing and/or coordinating regular audits, including care plans, risk assessments, medication records, daily notes, visit records and service user documentation.
- Monitoring training compliance and working with the Training Coordinator to identify gaps, overdue training and required refresher sessions.
- Tracking supervision, spot checks, competency assessments and staff compliance records.
- Maintaining CQC evidence folders and supporting preparation for inspections, commissioner audits and internal reviews.
- Creating and monitoring action plans following audits, incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns or quality checks.
- Chasing actions with managers and staff to ensure deadlines are met.
- Supporting the Homecare Manager and Directors with quality assurance reports and compliance updates.
- Helping to identify trends, recurring issues and areas for service improvement.
- Ensuring policies, procedures and quality documents are reviewed and updated in line with the company review schedule.
- Supporting a positive compliance culture across the service.
About You
We are looking for someone who can work with accuracy, confidence and initiative.
You must be able to organise your own workload, prioritise deadlines and follow tasks through to completion.
The ideal candidate will have
- Experience in health and social care, preferably domiciliary care or a regulated care setting.
- Good understanding of CQC requirements, quality assurance and care documentation.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence using care management systems, spreadsheets and digital records.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- A structured and methodical approach to work.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to follow up actions with managers and staff.
- A positive, professional and solution-focused attitude.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a compliance, quality, audit, senior care, care coordination or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of medication audits, care plan audits, risk assessments and training compliance.
- Experience supporting CQC or commissioner audit preparation.
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or above.
What We Offer
- Salary of £16.50-£18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- 21 hours per week over 3 days.
