We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to support the continued growth of our business.
About the role:
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a key role in transforming company data into meaningful insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organisation. Acting as a trusted business partner to data owners throughout the business, the role is responsible for ensuring data is accurately captured, governed and utilised to drive performance and continuous improvement.
The role works collaboratively with colleagues across all functions to develop reporting frameworks, dashboards and data models that provide visibility of key business metrics. Responsibilities:
Operational
- Collect, analyse, and interpret business data from multiple sources to support and drive decision-making.
- Evaluate data quality across company systems and generate KPI’s to drive improvements/accuracy.
- Design, build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that provide a clear view of performance and trends across Sales, Supply Chain and Operations (e.g., revenue, margin, forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory health, capacity, productivity).
- Collaborate with data owners across the Company to understand information requirements and optimise data processes. Take their BI requirements and turn them into tangible deliverables and roll out to the user(s) wherever possible.
- Create and maintain a data “wiki” to manage the organisations data model and agreed definitions of calculated data e.g. conversions. The Wiki should be available to colleagues so that they can understand and interpret data correctly.
- Develop a strong understanding of Company source data, documenting this and improving data management and quality over time.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security and consistency in all reports and analyses. Help to protect the organisation through proactive data governance, delivered by reducing data security and privacy risks, putting in place controls to protect Company data and championing improvements to data security and privacy.
Relationship
- Act as a trusted business partner to all data owners, providing insights and supporting strategic initiatives.
- Liaise with external partners, vendors, or industry bodies to gather benchmarking data and identify best practices and help build and utilise the BI technologies, including data warehouses and other data architecture.
- Working with vendors to implement to implement solutions that supports the delivery of effective business intelligence services.
- Collaborate with teams across all sites to ensure business systems and data structures effectively support company needs. · Continuous improvement to increase the level of automation and self service for colleagues using Company technologies (e.g. PowerBI).
- Train and support colleagues in the data management and use of reports, dashboards, definitions and best practice usage.
- Monitor industry trends in business analysis, data reporting tools, to inform internal data strategies and continuous improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the Company.
- Assist with ad hoc analytical tasks as required.
- Support colleagues with Purechain data analysis is requested.
About you
Qualifications:
A relevant qualification in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Information Management or a related discipline would be advantageous. Professional qualifications such as CBAP, IIBA or equivalent are desirable.
Experience:
Demonstrable experience in business analysis, business intelligence, data reporting or a similar analytical role is essential. Experience of data governance, information management frameworks, benchmarking techniques and Microsoft data architecture tools such as Fabric would be advantageous. Experience working collaboratively across multiple business functions is highly desirable.
