Role Overview
The Trainee Estimator will support the estimating and pre-construction teams in preparing cost estimates, tender submissions, and pricing documentation for projects. The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop commercial, technical, and analytical skills while gaining experience in construction and engineering project tendering. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced estimators and commercial teams while receiving structured training and development.

Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation of project cost estimates and pricing submissions,
- Assist with reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation,
- Support preparation of Bills of Quantities, cost breakdowns, and pricing schedules,
- Assist with obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations,
- Support maintaining estimating cost databases and historical cost records,
- Assist with tender document preparation and submission coordination,
- Support bid reviews and internal estimating meetings,
- Learn estimating software and commercial systems,
- Support project handover documentation from tender stage to delivery teams,
- Work closely with estimating, commercial, and project teams.
Qualifications
- Good general education (GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English preferred),
- Relevant college course in Construction, Engineering, or Business,
- Working towards or interest in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Engineering career pathways.

- Structured on-the-job training,
