About Us:
We are a dynamic and growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering innovative building services solutions across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and industrial. With a strong pipeline of work and a collaborative team environment, we are now seeking a Revit/AutoCAD Technician to join our in-house design and coordination team.
The Role:
As a Revit/AutoCAD Technician, you will play a key role in developing high-quality technical drawings and coordinating 3D M&E models. You will work closely with our engineering and site teams to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and aligned with project requirements. This position offers the opportunity to build on your existing technical skills and grow into an engineering design role over time, with support from experienced professionals and ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Support the coordination of M&E services within multidisciplinary models.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawings meet project needs.
- Maintain drawing standards and document control in line with company procedures.
- Assist with clash detection, model updates, and integration with architectural and structural models.
- Participate in design meetings and coordination workshops (BIM coordination experience desirable).
- Take initiative in improving workflows and adopting new technologies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (experience in M&E or building services essential).
- Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems in construction projects.
- Previous experience in an M&E, consultancy, or contractor environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and progress into engineering design roles.
- Familiarity with Navisworks or similar coordination tools.
- Knowledge of BIM processes and ISO 19650 standards.
- HNC/HND or degree in Building Services Engineering, or related discipline (or working towards).
