JGM is currently recruiting Data Cabling Installation Engineers to join our passionate and driven team in Dundee. Would you like to join a leading Building Services company with a reputation for excellence?
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test Category 6 and Category 6a structured cabling systems (shielded and unshielded) to manufacturer specifications.
- Test structured cabling systems using Fluke DSX network testers.
- Install, terminate, and test multimode and single-mode fibre cables, using fusion splicing and Fluke DSX Light Loss Fibre modules.
- Install and maintain voice cabling systems.
- Install communications cabinets (wall-mounted, floor-mounted, and flat-pack assemblies).
- Install various containment systems, including cable tray, basket tray, PVC/metal trunking, PVC conduit, and cable matting.
- Use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Fluke LinkWare & LinkWare Live software.
Qualifications
- NVQ or SVQ in Structured Cabling / Telecommunications.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Ability to meet project deadlines and escalate risks when necessary.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
