Role Description
The Hair Stylist will work full time (33-39 hours) at our Sutton salon, providing professional hair services including cutting, styling, colouring, and hair care treatments for a luxury clientele. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with clients to understand their needs, recommending suitable styles and products, and delivering high-quality services aligned with Aveda standards and salon protocols. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming work environment, managing appointment schedules, and supporting the wider team during busy periods. The Hair Stylist will also help educate clients on at-home hair care, promote salon services and retail products, and contribute to a positive, inclusive client experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Hair skills, including advanced cutting, advanced colouring, and finishing techniques.
- Formal training with 5 years plus experience in salon-based work.
- Excellent Customer Service abilities to deliver a welcoming, client-focused experience.
- Clear and professional Communication Skills for effective consultations and teamwork.
- Knowledge of or interest in vegan, cruelty-free, and sustainable hair products and practices.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Cheam, Sutton, with flexibility for Saturday and peak-hour shifts.
- Prior experience with Aveda products or colour is an advantage but not required as full training is provided.
