Since being founded in 2018, Copper has been building the standard for institutional digital asset infrastructure with a focus on custody, collateral management, and prime services. Led by Amar Kuchinad, Copper's Global CEO, the firm provides a comprehensive suite of custody, trading and settlement solutions that reduce counterparty risk and bring greater capital and operational efficiency to digital asset markets. At the heart of Copper's offering is Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology, the gold standard in secure custody.
We are looking for a talented Product Designer to help us set the institutional standard for the digital asset industry. This is a role for someone who gets excited about turning ambiguity into clarity. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other functions to ship features and products that matter, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end experiences for new and existing products. You'll take ownership of the full design process from early prototypes and user flows to high-fidelity designs ready for development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner with product managers to define problems, work alongside engineers to ensure feasibility and quality.
- Think in systems. Contribute to our design system and create scalable patterns that work across platforms.
- Champion the user. Run discovery sessions, analyse user feedback, and use data to inform design decisions.
- Push the craft forward. Willing to go beyond delivery, not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve.
Essential Skills and Experience
- 4-6 years of product design experience in complex domains like fintech, SaaS, or technical workflows.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to solve real problems.
- Visual and interaction design skills with a sharp eye for composition, typography, iconography, and layout.
- Systems thinking and understanding how individual features connect to our wider suite of products.
- Design tool expertise, particularly in Figma.
- Clear communication skills to articulate design decisions.
- Self-sufficiency and ownership in managing time and prioritising effectively.
- Curiosity and adaptability to learn about new domains.
Desirable
- Experience designing for crypto, fintech, or financial services.
- Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and design tokens.
- Experience designing for iOS.
- Experience with user research and usability testing.
- Experience in designing accessible experiences.
