As a member of this firm, you will leverage your expertise to deliver high-impact modernisation projects while mentoring the firm's teams and establishing permanent product capabilities that create lasting change for other firms.
As a Lead / Principal Software Engineer, you will:
- Advise and guide client agencies from problem definition through to solution design, in both greenfield and brownfield implementations.
- Address complex, high-impact challenges at a national scale, driving innovation that improves efficiency and effectiveness across other firms.
- Champion engineering excellence by influencing the adoption and continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices across the firm.
- Serve as the lead architect working with the firm and industry partner teams to ensure smooth handover from recommendations to implementation—owning the outcomes.
- Establish and mentor permanent engineering teams within agencies, transferring technical expertise and engineering best practices.
- Develop standardised approaches for assessments, discovery, and solution design, grounded in the firm and industry best practices.

- 10+ years of experience in multi-squad development teams with a career progression to Architect.
- Adaptable with experience working in different industries, in-house development, consultancy.

- Actively mentors and cultivates future technical leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Exceptional communicator and collaborator - able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, with a belief that working across teams and organisations is more effective than operating as a solo unit.
