An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our Aftersales Department based at our Perth unit. Reporting directly to the Parts Manager, we are looking for a Senior Parts Sales Specialist & Inventory Support. You will be responsible for a team of two, to work in a high paced, customer focussed department. You will be able to demonstrate exceptional team skills, a degree of flexibility and the ability to learn complex machine systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily management of stock and inventory levels to meet customer expectations and adhere to internal guidelines, including monitoring stock movements and arranging/overseeing returns to the main Parts Division (based in Sweden).
- Co‑ordinating with the technical support/service teams to establish and routinely review stock levels for all equipment models, ensuring cost‑efficient and customer‑focused parts ordering (particularly for machine breakdowns/repairs).
- Parts sales managing direct customer sales both over the counter and by telephone.
- Managing the returns process for parts, ensuring work orders are raised accurately and that service work is processed efficiently.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, using business performance data and equipment utilisation insights to enhance future stock and product offerings.
- Building strong working relationships with technical teams to support the ongoing development and sharing of internal technical knowledge.
What It Takes
- Good working knowledge or experience within the forestry or heavy machinery sector is essential.
- Previous experience in parts operations in a similar equipment discipline is a distinct advantage.
- A sound technical understanding of John Deere CTL forest machinery (advantageous).
- Strong customer service and/or technical support.
- Conversant with IT systems.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work proactively, both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
