An exciting new opportunity has become available within our Aftersales Department based at our Carlisle branch. Reporting directly to the Parts Manager, we have an open position for a Parts Sales & Inventory Control Representative to work in a high-paced, customer-focused department. You will be able to demonstrate exceptional team skills, a degree of flexibility and the ability to learn various inventory control systems. Previous experience in parts operations in a similar equipment discipline is a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Parts Sales & Customer Service: Identifying and pursuing parts sales opportunities both over the counter and over the phone, creating price quotations, processing customer orders, and advising clients on the correct components using digital parts catalogues and promoting sales of accessories and consumables. Assisting with quarterly promotions and aftersales offers.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring and maintaining real-time stock against stocking target levels, assisting with cyclic counting, reconciling discrepancies, and minimizing shrinkage or overstock of inventories. Creating returns to internal and external suppliers.
- Procurement: Raising purchase orders, communicating with internal and external suppliers to track lead times, and managing backorders in a timely manner. Negotiating with local and international suppliers.
- Logistics & Warehousing: Coordinating the goods-in/goods-out process, organizing and arranging customs handling, preparing orders for shipping.
Skills & Experience:
- Inventory Systems: Proficiency in Electronic Parts Catalogues (EPC) and inventory/ERP software.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong customer focus and the ability to promote genuine parts, up-sell accessories, and negotiate with vendors.
- Organizational Skills: Identify the correct parts for the customer needs with high accuracy. Attention to detail to ensure stock data perfectly matches physical inventory, along with the physical capability to handle parts.
- Product Knowledge: Technical or practical understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical components. Preferably from a Forestry, Agricultural or Heavy Plant parts background.

The successful candidate will be expected to live within commuting distance of the branch and hold a full valid UK Driving Licence as travel to our Perth office will be necessary to attend and carry out training when needed. The role is available for an immediate start, reporting directly to the Parts Manager.
