We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Dry Gas Seals Team reporting to the Lead Engineer for Gas Seals. As a Mechanical Engineer you will be developing innovative solutions to customer specific applications that go beyond standard dry gas seal product range, support Right First Time (RFT) activities by troubleshooting non-conforming seal designs by analysing data and the cosmetic appearance of the Dry Gas Seal.

This role is based from our headquarters within Slough working Monday to Friday normal office hours.

Prepares and performs specific development programs for customer driven Dry Gas Sealing applications, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Develop plans
  • Test specifications
  • Design generation
  • Qualification testing
  • Report Generation

Provide technical input and guidance to projects with respect to the design, performance, procurement, manufacturing, and testing of Dry Gas Sealing products for the turbomachinery equipment. Create detailed technical presentations to customers to support sales and training initiatives. Prepares correspondence and technical engineering reports in connection with the projects. Utilise Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to produce 3D models/assemblies to analyse product performance (i.e. finite element analysis). Support RFT activities by troubleshooting problems to product performance or production difficulties. Perform and/or monitor tests to validate actual results with those from theoretical analysis. Independently upskilling knowledge on topics related to assigned projects.

Working knowledge of CAD, 3D modelling & 2D drawing ideally within rotating equipment. Ability to self-manage projects ensuring on time delivery.
