We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled HSEQ Officer with initiative, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to join our busy and growing contracting business. Based in our main office in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, the successful candidate will also visit staff and projects throughout the border counties. The HSEQ Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of our staff and operations are met while supporting the delivery of a high-quality service to our customers. Working closely with Project Managers, the Office Manager, and operational staff, you will help maintain and continuously improve our existing Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety role.
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification (minimum IOSH).
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and experience of ISO management systems.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the company.
- Develop and continuously improve Health & Safety management systems.
- Review and action near-miss reports, incident reports, and audit findings.
- Conduct site safety audits and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with contractual HSEQ obligations.
- Review and manage employee training requirements.
- Manage company PUWER systems.
- Prepare and deliver safety reports and briefings.
- Monitor and maintain environmental compliance.
- Conduct inductions for new employees and subcontractors.
- Maintain Safety and Quality Management Systems.
- Coordinate the issue and control of updated and new HSEQ documentation.
