Are you passionate about sports, physical education, and inspiring the next generation? We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive PE Teaching Assistant to join our Physical Education department.
In this varied and active role, you will work closely with our PE teaching staff to deliver high-quality physical education across our full secondary curriculum. From setting up equipment and coaching extra-curricular clubs to managing sports fixtures and providing lesson cover, you will play a vital role in encouraging healthy, active lifestyles among our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Lesson & Cover Support: Assisting with PE lessons, preparing sports equipment, and stepping in to cover classes when PE teachers are absent.
- Sports & Events Coordination: Organising school sports events (like Sports Day and House Sports), coaching lunchtime/after-school clubs, and managing logistics (bookings and transport) for fixtures.
- Admin & Communication: Handling department paperwork, managing Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) student accounts, maintaining sports equipment/displays, and keeping parents updated via email, newsletters, and the website.
- Student Welfare & Safety: Supporting student well-being, maintaining strict confidentiality, and taking responsibility for health and safety in sporting environments.
