John Charles Search are pleased to be partnering with a well-established mezzanine floor manufacturer in their search for a National Sales Manager. Our client provides innovative space solutions, offering high-quality mezzanine floor systems designed to maximise vertical space across a variety of industries, including warehousing, retail, and manufacturing.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to spearhead their business development efforts and drive growth across the UK market. This role is ideal for a sales professional who excels in new business acquisition and can independently generate their own business opportunities within the mezzanine floor sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities across the UK. Generate your own leads, build relationships, and develop a strong sales pipeline.
  • Create and execute a proactive sales strategy to drive market share and revenue growth within the mezzanine floor sector.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including warehouse managers, operations directors, and business owners.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored mezzanine floor solutions, guiding them through the design, specifications, and benefits of installations.
  • Lead the negotiations, prepare quotes, and close deals in line with targets. Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to successful order confirmation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Work closely with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management, tracking performance against KPIs and sales targets.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in selling mezzanine floors or similar industrial products (racking, shelving, partitions) directly to end-users.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and developing accounts within the warehouse storage sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the mezzanine floor market, including product specifications, installation processes, and key industry players.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • A self-driven, proactive sales professional who can work independently and manage their own pipeline.
  • Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel nationwide for client meetings and site visits.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to thrive in a target-driven environment and consistently exceed sales goals.
