Controls Commissioning Engineer
UK-Based | Field-Based | Full-Time

Join a leading manufacturer and integrator of automated material handling solutions as we expand our technical team across the UK. We're looking for Controls Commissioning Engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about bringing cutting-edge automation systems to life.
What You’ll Do:
- Commission and fine-tune automated conveyor systems (telescopic, powered, flexible, etc.) on-site.
- Configure and test control systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and drives.
- Perform I/O checks, software testing, and system diagnostics.
- Collaborate with electrical installation teams and internal engineering departments.
- Deliver hands-on training to customer operators and maintenance teams.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest technical and safety standards.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience with industrial control systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.)
- Hands-on PLC programming and fault-finding expertise.
- Strong knowledge of motors, sensors, conveyors, and safety devices.
- Familiarity with fieldbus protocols (e.g., PROFINET, EtherNet/IP).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- A problem-solving mindset and readiness for UK-wide travel, with occasional international trips.
