John Charles Search are looking for a Project Engineer to join an established provider of storage solutions (racking, shelving, mezzanines and warehouse systems).
Working alongside Sales Managers, you'll turn customer requirements into practical technical solutions, producing AutoCAD layouts, technical drawings, material schedules and product specifications to support projects from quotation through to installation.
Key Responsibilities for the Project Engineer include:
- Produce AutoCAD layouts and technical drawings.
- Prepare material schedules and technical specifications.
- Recommend suitable solutions from an established product portfolio.
- Support Sales Managers with technical expertise and customer solutions.
- Liaise with installation teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable.
Skills/Experience the Project Engineer will have:
- AutoCAD experience.
- A background in storage solutions, racking, shelving, mezzanines, warehouse systems, or a similar technical solutions environment where you've specified and configured products to meet customer requirements.
- Experience producing technical drawings and BOMs (bills of materials).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering is heavily desired.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, including CEOs, Directors and decision-makers within large corporate organisations.
- A practical, customer-focused approach.
Location: South West Region (hybrid)
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 + benefits.
