We are looking for a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a nationwide engineering team providing breakdown and service support for automated materials handling systems across customer sites in the UK. This role is mechanically biased with strong electrical capability and involves regular travel, emergency call-outs, and occasional planned servicing. A company van, tools and equipment are provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on-site fault resolution
- Carry out planned repairs and servicing to manufacturer and industry standards
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on automated systems
- Accurately record all work completed
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and quality standards
- Represent the business professionally at customer sites
- Identify improvement opportunities during service and repair activities
Skills & Experience:
- Mechanical engineering background with electrical competence
- Experience in automated, industrial or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of materials handling systems preferred
- Understanding of LOLER and relevant industry standards
- Minimum ONC (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Maintenance discipline
- Full UK driving licence
