Responsibilities
- Report to a Senior Software Engineer and work with Electrical, Mechanical and Installation Engineers led by Project Managers.
- Design, develop and install our automated guided vehicle and automated systems, and provide afterāmarket support.
- Develop and implement software projects using the Microsoft Windows development environment (J Script, C#, XML/JSON, ODBC/ADO compliant database packages, and SQL Server).
- Develop software functional and design specifications.
- Specify and acquire project computer hardware and commercial software.
- Set up and configure Windows Server operating system for use in manufacturing production systems.
- Train customer personnel on the use of the system both remotely and onāsite.
- Participate in the outāofāhours telephone hotline support.
Qualifications
- Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline where computing applications and development can be demonstrated.
- Be proficient in SQL programming and have prior programming experience in C++, Java, C# or an equivalent language.
- Experience with Web Development and Web Services is advantageous.
- Experience troubleshooting issues with users (customerāfacing).
- Hold a current/valid driver's licence.
Travel & Location: Travel on short notice for up to 25% of the time, domestic and international.
