A rare opportunity has become available to join our award-winning Honda dealership in Ipswich. We're looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester who takes pride in delivering outstanding workmanship and customer satisfaction. Whether you're already Honda trained or have experience with another manufacturer franchise, we'd love to hear from you.

If you're looking for somewhere you can genuinely build a long-term career—not just another workshop—this could be exactly what you've been waiting for.

Why Join John Banks Honda?

At John Banks Group we've been looking after customers and colleagues for over 50 years. Our workshops are fully equipped with the latest Honda diagnostic technology, and we invest heavily in our technicians through continuous manufacturer training and career development. You'll be joining an experienced, friendly team where quality workmanship is recognised and rewarded.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manufacturer servicing and routine maintenance
  • MOT Tests
  • Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
  • Mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Warranty repairs to Honda standards
  • Brake, steering and suspension repairs
  • Timing belts, clutches and engine repairs
  • Vehicle Health Checks using digital reporting
  • Preparation of Approved Used Vehicles
  • Road testing vehicles where required
  • Supporting colleagues to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction

Every vehicle leaving our workshop should be completed to the highest possible standard.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Holds a Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair & MOT Qualification
  • Has previous franchised dealer or independent workshop experience
  • Enjoys diagnostics and solving technical faults
  • Takes pride in producing quality work
  • Works well within a team
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Wants to continue learning through manufacturer training
  • Holds a full UK driving licence

An MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but isn't essential. Honda experience is welcomed but certainly not essential as full manufacturer training will be provided.

  • Competitive Package
  • Basic Salary (depending on experience)
  • Monthly productivity bonus
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Company pension
  • Career Development
  • Honda Manufacturer Training
