Location: John Banks Group – Colchester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm (1 hour lunch) plus 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8.00am – 12.00pm
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience. Higher rates available for experienced vehicle detailers and applicants with ceramic coating/paint protection experience.
We're looking for a reliable, hardworking Vehicle Valeter to join our busy Colchester dealership. If you enjoy working with vehicles, take pride in your work and can be relied upon to turn up every day ready to work, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Wash and valet new, used and customer vehicles.
- Prepare vehicles for customer handover and showroom display.
- Clean service vehicles after workshop repairs.
- Move vehicles safely around site and between John Banks Group locations.
- Use our mobile app to receive and complete cleaning jobs.
- Clock in and out using our attendance app.
- Keep the valeting area clean, tidy and safe.
- Use cleaning products and chemicals safely (training provided).
What We're Looking For
- A reliable, dependable team player with excellent timekeeping.
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
- Confident driving manual and automatic vehicles.
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to use a smartphone or tablet.
- Willing to learn new products, chemicals and vehicle preparation techniques.
- Previous valeting experience preferred but not essential.

We pay higher salaries to applicants with experience in:
