Are you a high achieving, determined sales professional with proven success in managing key accounts with an exemplary track record of sustaining sales and revenue targets? We now seek an experienced Key Account Manager to join the manufacturing business Sales Team for the Scotland region- this is an exciting new role so a great opportunity to make you mark in a leading and high growth business. THE ROLE To manage and maintain existing client portfolio for the manufacturing division across Scotland whilst delivering profitable growth in line with regional targets. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * To be successful, you will have to bring proven ability in maximising sales and profit by both maintaining and developing existing key accounts. * You will maintain a professional external profile to develop and maintain knowledge of key markets and industries and any additional business opportunities. * In addition to maximising revenue through existing business, you will lead the tender process for your client portfolio in order to successfully secure existing business. * Negotiate, agree and secure new customer contracts and SLA’s; agree renewals of existing contracts. * Position the company as the provider of choice with key national targets by creating differentiated and competitive value propositions. * Collaborate and contribute to the development of the sales strategy. * Research and identify new business opportunities – including, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets. * Work in collaboration with the Sales Director to develop and present promotional activities (e.g. Market communications, use of platforms like Linkedin) * Manage internal stakeholder relationships in order to optimise new business capture and retention. * Maintain and develop external networking activities including industry bodies. * Identify, monitor and act upon trends and changes in market with regards to legislation and regulation and their impact on prospective customers. * Maintain and develop the sales pipeline in order to ensure there are always sufficient, qualified opportunities ‘in the pipe’ to deliver the revenue and profit targets required. * Analyse key sales data to present an insight to forecasts and analysis. * Review & update sales forecast & customer risk register on a monthly basis * Recording customer interaction activity via the interaction log. * Ownership of annual budgeting for customer portfolio. * Growing share of accounts, improving customer relationships and securing long term supply by introduction of contracts, stock holding agreements, improving overall value provided to our customers & the quality of customer relationships (QCR). RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS * Engagement with multiple internal/external stakeholders with real achievement in product, service and value selling. * Tendering with major organisations/Key Accounts nationally. * Experience of selling into companies requiring multi site delivery would be beneficial. * Highly organised with effective time planning to meet the highest levels of customer service delivery. * Commercially astute with a strong business focus and acumen. * Excellent negotiation and closing skills able to operate at customer’s Director level. * Experience in territory planning and managing key accounts with proven results. * Consistent attention to detail. The role offers flexibility to work remotely with travel to Customers and sites. An excellent package awaits the best talent to take up this challenge. Salary is £45,000 plus expensed company car, laptop and phone and 33 days holiday + pension. We are inviting applications from individuals with a background in sales within the manufacturing, logistics, construction and recycling sectors. Ideal base central Scotland with manufacturing site at Aberdeen and Burntisland. This is an immediate role and 1st stage Teams interviews will take place promptly
