Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced trading desk environment whilst executing and optimizing ETF and index program trades using advanced algos.
  • Monitor and refine algorithmic trading strategies using real-time market data, and analyse execution quality through daily TCA and performance reviews.
  • Provide coverage and execution support for client-driven flow whilst driving improvements.
  • Collaborate with quant, tech, and strategy teams to enhance trading logic.
  • Maintain awareness of market microstructure and regulatory impacts and support pre- and post-trade analytics, including cost models and slippage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field; advanced qualifications such as a Master's degree, CFA, or equivalent are highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of electronic trading markets, market structure, execution algorithms, and order-routing strategies across equities as an asset class.
  • Proficiency with trading platforms, market data systems such as Bloomberg and data analysis tools.
  • Demonstrable experience with programming or automation tools is highly advantageous.
  • Reliability (address errors or oversights, fairness, straightforwardness, respectability) and integrity (encourage compliance and strong ethics within the business).
