In an era where digitalisation and modern IT infrastructure is revolutionising banking, we are shaping a technology-driven bank in which you as an IT professional will work closely with our business units. Our technology teams offer you an environment that will present you with exciting challenges - be it through the support and further development of legacy systems or the introduction of modern technologies such as AI, machine learning and highly automated trading applications.
Your Role in the Team
In this role, you will play a key part in driving the development of AI-powered services within the bank and shaping the next generation of our digital solutions. You will work in an agile, self-organised team that actively drives innovation in the field of artificial intelligence. Collaboration is characterised by close communication, joint architecture and design phases, pair programming, and regular reviews. We place great importance on robust, secure, and maintainable software. At the same time, you will work directly with business departments to develop practical, value-adding AI solutions. From a technology perspective, we work with Python, Java/Kotlin, Angular, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes, as well as current AI models through Vertex AI and Azure AI Foundry. The role offers you significant creative freedom: you will establish AI applications within productive banking processes and act as an AI knowledge multiplier across other development teams - through workshops, technical consulting, and hands-on enablement.
What will you do?
- Designing, developing, and optimising high-quality, scalable services - from classic backend APIs to AI-powered applications
- Implementing full-stack solutions using Java/Kotlin, Angular, and Python - incorporating AI components and modern frameworks
- Taking a leading role in shaping our long-term AI and software architecture to ensure future-readiness and efficiency
- Mentoring and providing technical leadership to other developers, as well as enabling other teams to use AI tools and methodologies
Requirements:
- Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional software development experience, ideally with initial experience in AI/ML as well as cloud deployment (GCP or Azure)
- Very good programming skills in Python or Java/Kotlin, as well as experience with frontend technologies (Angular, TypeScript)
- Analytical mindset, enthusiasm for code quality, curiosity about AI technologies, and enjoyment in sharing knowledge with others
