Founded by racing driver Joe Macari, the business grew from preparing race cars and trading vehicles to support participation in prestigious series such as FIA-GT1 and Le Mans 24 Hours. Over time, the company expanded its sales, servicing, and repair operations and relocated to a prominent showroom in south-west London. In 2007, Joe Macari Servicing became an Official Ferrari and Maserati franchise with a purpose-built service center. Today, the group operates multiple businesses in south-west London, including independent used car sales, official Ferrari and Maserati aftersales, racing, and accident management services.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role based in London at Joe Macari Performance Cars. The Mechanic will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on high-performance and luxury vehicles, with a focus on Ferrari and Maserati models. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out preventive maintenance, and completing repair work to manufacturer standards. The role involves working with workshop tools and equipment, following safety procedures, and maintaining accurate service records. The Mechanic will collaborate with service advisors and other team members to ensure high-quality customer service and efficient workshop operations.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for high-performance and luxury vehicles.




• Experience with Preventive Maintenance, including scheduled servicing and safety checks.




• Ability to work with Heavy Equipment and workshop tools safely and effectively.




• Proficient Troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.




• Relevant automotive technician qualification or apprenticeship (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).




• Previous experience working in a performance, luxury, or dealership workshop environment is beneficial.




• Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to follow manufacturer specifications.




• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, with good communication and time-management skills.
