Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Family Solicitor role based in Bolton. The Family Solicitor will manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, separation, financial settlements, child arrangements, and domestic abuse cases. Care solicitors are also encouraged to apply. Daily tasks include advising clients, drafting and reviewing legal documents, preparing court applications, negotiating settlements, and representing clients at hearings and conferences. The role also involves maintaining accurate case files, complying with regulatory requirements, and working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality client service. The solicitor will be expected to contribute to the firm's reputation through professional conduct and effective case management.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimium of 2 years experience in Family Law handling a varied caseload and providing clear, practical legal advice.
- Specialist knowledge and demonstrable experience in Family Law, including children matters, financial remedies, and protective orders or specialist knowledge in care cases.
- Excellent client-care, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues professionally.
- Strong drafting, advocacy, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to manage deadlines.
- Ability to work independently on-site in Bolton while collaborating effectively within a small team environment.
