We are seeking a passionate, driven, and experienced Conference & Events Manager to lead and deliver exceptional experiences across our conference and events business at Newmarket Racecourses β part of The Jockey Club Catering.
About the Role
As our Conference & Events Manager, you\βll be at the heart of planning and delivering a wide variety of events β from corporate conferences to glamorous gala dinners. You\βll lead a dedicated team of casual and variable staff, working collaboratively with internal departments and external clients to ensure every event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of all non-raceday conference and events activities
- Build strong client relationships and maintain exceptional customer service standards
- Motivate, train and manage a flexible workforce to deliver excellence in hospitality
- Monitor and manage budgets, costs and profitability
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations
- Maintain high standards of food, presentation, and venue appearance
- Support and contribute to the broader Jockey Club Catering team across sites when required

- Previous experience in a similar events or hospitality management role
