Are you an Exam Invigilator, or interested in becoming one, looking for flexible temporary work in education? We are supporting local schools and colleges in and around Stockport who are looking to appoint reliable and flexible Examination Invigilators to join their Exams Teams. As an Examination Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring exams are conducted fairly, securely, and in line with awarding body regulations. This Examination Invigilator role offers flexible, seasonal work across a busy exam period.
Responsibilities
- Supervising students during examinations
- Setting up and preparing exam rooms
- Distributing and collecting exam papers and materials
- Ensuring exams are conducted in line with regulations
- Supporting candidates before and during examinations where appropriate
- Reporting any irregularities or incidents to the Exams Team
- Maintaining a calm and secure exam environment
Key Skills and Experience
- Previous exam invigilation experience is highly desirable
- Previous experience within an education environment would be preferred but is not essential
- Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and follow procedures accurately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Essential Requirements
- An Enhanced DBS check is required and must be registered on the Update Service (this is mandatory)
- Availability to work between 30th April and 16th June, covering morning and afternoon examination sessions across this period
- Willingness to read and familiarise yourself with the Instructions for Conducting Examinations (ICE) booklet prior to supporting exams
Full training will be provided for successful candidates.
