Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant who loves variety and being hands-on in a friendly, close-knit team? Long-established, family-style business in Reddish is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for their on-site finance team. Responsibilities:
- Preparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Cash posting and raising credit notes
- Completing bank reconciliations and VAT returns
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Assisting with the annual branch budget process
- Supporting management accounts and wider reporting
- Helping with other ad hoc finance duties as required
You'll be joining a small, supportive accounts team where teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude are key.
Candidate profile / Qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience in a broad accounting role
- Solid understanding of debits and credits
- Confident Excel skills (lookup and pivot tables a bonus)
- A hands-on, proactive approach and a willingness to help across the team
- The ability to work fully on-site
- Bonus: experience in a manufacturing or stock-based environment
