Are you an organised and confident Receptionist looking for a temporary role in a busy school environment? A welcoming educational organisation in Bolton is looking for a Receptionist to provide temporary sickness cover. This is a busy front-of-house role where you'll be the first point of contact for students, parents, staff and visitors, so you'll need to be professional, approachable and confident managing a varied workload.

You will need an Enhanced DBS for this position, preferably on the update service.

What will you be doing as a Receptionist?

  • Welcoming students, staff, parents and visitors to the school
  • Managing visitor signing in and out procedures
  • Answering and directing telephone calls
  • Monitoring access to the building and following safeguarding procedures
  • Dealing with visitor and general reception enquiries
  • Carrying out general administration and updating records
  • Using school administration systems
  • Supporting the wider administration and student services team
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling information appropriately

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as a Receptionist, School Receptionist, Front Of House Receptionist, Administrator or Student Services Administrator
  • Previous reception experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
  • Professional, friendly and approachable manner
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
  • Previous school or education experience would be advantageous
  • Experience using school administration systems would be desirable
  • Enhanced DBS required, preferably on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one promptly

What will you get in return for your work as a Receptionist?

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Minimum 6-week commitment, with potential to extend due to sickness cover
