Are you an experienced logistics professional who loves keeping shipments moving smoothly across the world? Our client is a small, family-run business seeking a talented Logistics Coordinator for International and Domestic shipments. Based in Wythenshawe, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality products worldwide and they need a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to ensure every domestic and international shipment gets where it needs to be, on time and in full.
What will you be doing as a Logistics Coordinator?
- Working with the Business Planning team to coordinate shipments to both UK and International customers using both road, sea and air transport
- Preparing accurate export documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and country-specific forms
- Managing customs clearance processes and ensuring full compliance with international trade regulations
- Negotiating rates and services with international freight forwarders and carriers
- Tracking shipments, resolving delays, and liaising with customs, vendors, and internal teams
- Coordinating UK domestic deliveries, managing schedules, returns, and damage claims
- Maintaining accurate shipping records, databases, and reporting tools
- Producing logistics performance reports and analysing data to identify improvements
- Supporting inventory movements and monitoring retail stock positions for e-commerce operations
- Working closely with the Business Planning and Sales teams to ensure smooth business operations
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- Experience as a Logistics Coordinator, International Shipping Coordinator, Export Coordinator, Shipping Administrator, Supply Chain Assistant, Freight Coordinator, Customs Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, Transport Planner or similar role
- 2-3 years experience in international shipping, logistics, or export operations
- Strong knowledge of customs rules, export documentation, and international trade regulations
- Experience working with domestic carriers and international freight forwarders
- ERP experience plus shipment tracking tools
- Ability to negotiate with carriers to achieve the best rates and services
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with customs, vendors, and internal teams
- Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a willingness to jump onto urgent shipping issues
- IATA, Dangerous Goods by Air (DG) certification - Desirable
- IMDG, Dangerous Goods by Sea (DG) certification - Desirable
- Experience shipping hazardous cargo - Desirable
- Experience of e-commerce platforms - Desirable
What will you get in return for your work as a Logistics Coordinator?
- £28,000 - £31,000, dependent on experience
- Full time working 35 hours per week Mon to Fri (part time 25 hours per week could also be considered)
- 30 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) rising to 33 days after 2 years employment
- Your birthday off, every year
