The predicted salary is between 21500 - 30000 ÂŁ per year.

Location: Copper Fields School, Gunnislake PL18 9EH

Salary: ÂŁ25,276.26 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday 8.30am-5.00pm, Tuesday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Start: September 2025

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Tutor to join our close-knit team at Copper Fields School, part of Options Autism.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be required to tutor students in Outdoor Education & Physical Education curriculum. To continuously enhance the Outdoor Education & Physical Education provision and offer and will assist the class teachers and support staff in delivering the Outdoor Education & Physical Education Curriculum across the school and to undertake such duties as are delegated by the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. The main duties of the Outdoor Education & Physical Education Tutor include:

  • Taking the lead on Outdoor Education & Physical Education activities
  • Being the school’s Educational Visits Coordinator (with appropriate training)
  • Encouraging students to re-engage with their learning

We need a candidate who will work to achieve positive staff / student relationships across the school community and to help in maintaining and developing effective communications and links with parents.

Essential:

  • You should have relevant Outdoor Education/Sports qualifications and experience.
  • Experience in an SEN school
  • GCSE Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent
  • EVC Coordinator
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Copper Fields School provides full-time specialist co-education for up to 60 pupils aged 4-16, who have a primary need of Autism Spectrum, communication and language and often additional needs.
