Inspire Your Team. Empower Independence.
At Hft, a leading Social Care provider, we stand alongside learning disabled adults, empowering them to live life their way. As a Team Leader, you’ll guide a passionate team in creating environments where people grow in confidence, feel empowered, and live fulfilling lives. Your leadership will support both your team and the adults they work with to make meaningful choices every day. At this friendly supported living home in central Stonehouse, we support five people who have a range of needs and aspirations. Some of the individuals enjoy getting out into the local community and spending time with friends and family whilst others prefer quieter activities at home.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead both on- and off-shift, focusing on empowerment, independence, and positive experiences:
- Inspire your team through coaching, mentoring, and role-modelling person-centred support
- Ensure support plans, records, and risk assessments reflect individuals’ goals and guide daily practice
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing, supporting adults to engage in community, work, education, leisure, and daily life
- Manage resources responsibly, including IT systems, finances, and safe, well-maintained homes and equipment
- Support recruitment, training, supervision, and development to help your team thrive
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families, colleagues, and external partners
- Participate in on-call and duty manager responsibilities to maintain smooth, safe operations
Who You Are
You lead with heart and put people first. You’ll bring:
- Experience leading shifts and supporting a team
- A Level 2 Diploma in Adult Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 3)
- A supportive, empowering approach that helps learning disabled adults' live life their way
- Confidence in coaching and developing a team
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with colleagues, families, and partners
- A proactive, flexible approach that inspires your team and ensures homes run smoothly
- A valid driving license and your own transport for regional travel
