Engineering Service Support Operative
Based at Seaford Fire Station
16 Hours per week, Monday & Tuesday
Salary: Job family 1 β starting at Β£10,909
Fixed Term Contract until November 2028
ESFRS is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to support the Engineering Services Team which is part of the Operational Support and Resilience Directorate.
The main purpose of the job will be to:
- To undertake the collection and delivery of goods, uniform, personal protective equipment and operational equipment and training aids, both within and outside the Service boundary as directed, including re-instatement of equipment to operational readiness.
- To facilitate the availability of training equipment as directed
- To replenish Breathing Apparatus & Carbon Dioxide cylinders on request and being able to refill empty cylinders from compressor.
- To undertake deliveries of operational and non-operational equipment from all directorates within the Fire Authority, to & from our Partners, Suppliers, and external organizations
- To undertake the movement of all Service vehicles including appliances, aerial ladder platforms and light goods vehicles (LGV),
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to work flexibly using their own initiative, have good interpersonal skills and have a practical approach to problem solving. They will need to demonstrate an attention to detail and have excellent IT skills. A good understanding of the relevance and importance of Health & Safety legislation is essential.
