About the Role
Bridge House are currently looking for 2 Care Assistants to work dayshifts of 8am-8pm, 3-4 days per week, on an alternating shift pattern as stated below:
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
The Care Assistant (Days) plays a key role within the care home, supporting the delivery of safe, person-centred, high-quality care. Working alongside the management team, the Care Assistant leads by example, oversees daily care delivery, and supports and ensures residents’ physical, emotional and social needs are met. The role involves care planning support, effective communication with families and professionals, and maintaining a warm, dignified environment where residents feel valued and respected.

Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside and support a team of care staff during day shifts, ensuring high standards of person-centred care.
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and daily documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide hands‑on personal care, emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Act as a point of contact for residents, families and visiting professionals, promoting positive relationships.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing, reporting changes promptly and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Ensure safeguarding principles are upheld and concerns are reported immediately.
- Promote dignity, choice, independence and meaningful engagement throughout daily routines.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment in line with infection control and health & safety standards.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a Care Assistant role. (essential)
- Has experience supporting and completing care plans.
- Has a knowledge of CQC regulatory requirements and quality standards
- Has awareness of dementia care, end‑of‑life care or any other specialist areas.
- Is confident liaising with families, external professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
- Can contribute to continuous improvement and wellbeing initiatives
- Has a positive, proactive approach to problem-solving.
