What will be my core responsibilities?
The role of Account Director at Lancer Scott is responsible for the successful delivery of the University of the West of England contract, agreeing, setting and meeting expectations with the client. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to your internal teams, to ensure the contract runs smoothly and profitably. You are also expected to continually seek out additional revenue streams in the quoted works area and additional margin within the reactive and planned maintenance workstreams.
- Provide strong leadership to the Account Manager and Supervisors, developing their operational and commercial ability.
- Own the relationship with the client being fully accountable for the delivery of SLA’s and KPI’s through your teams.
- Attend monthly meetings with the client to review contract performance and manage any escalation points, agreeing actions moving forward.
- Provide data and reports on all aspects of the contract, with commentary and analysis for review.
- Agree contractual terms and conditions with your clients that are commercially viable and see a profitable return.
- Be fully accountable for the governance and financial control of the contract ensuring robust processes are in place.
- Drive the recruitment, training and development of engineering staff to enhance skill levels and performance through the Account Manager.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration through the Account Manager and ensure this filters through their management of the operational teams.
- Provide strategic input on driving engineering productivity and efficiencies to meet and exceed expectations.
- Conduct performance reviews with the Account Manager to set objectives, and provide training and development opportunities.
- Manage/supervise/monitor capital projects within the area as required.
- Support costing from engineers and subcontractors, working with the Project Managers for capital projects and ensure it meets client expectations.
- Embed a safety first culture across all contracts and share best practice to improve operational performance.
- Keep updated and informed of developments and commercial opportunities in your area and place Lancer Scott front of mind through targeted approaches and networking.
