Geospatial Package Manager

The Geospatial Package Manager role involves:

• Reporting to the Project Manager and managing trade-contractor packages within the Geospatial team.
• Leading all geospatial works by subcontractors and ensuring robust procedures of checks and methods to deliver the project to the highest possible standard of safety and performance.
• Taking ownership of their package and ensuring all works are planned, safe, and the site within their package area is clean and organised.
• Promoting a culture of safety leadership and ensuring all works are being carried out as planned and safely.
• Planning and overseeing all logistical requirements within their package, liaising with the Works Manager and Logistics Contractor.
• Producing short-term programmes and phase plans to accelerate works or mitigate issues to ensure on-time delivery in line with the accepted programme.
• Monitoring progress and performance, planned vs. actual, metrics, understanding trends arising, and reporting programme implications to the Project Manager and package planner.
• Collaborating with other members of the infrastructure team and thinking of the ‘big picture’.
• Being responsible for the technical aspects and compliance of the package with the contract documents and construction issue, specifications, and drawings.
• Reviewing and approving Inspection and Test Plans.
• Conducting and recording quality inspections using FieldView.
• Managing technical submittals and requests for information within their package scope.
• Ensuring the package meets requirements with respect to scope of works and sub-contract requirements and understanding SRMs obligations.
• Recording key events and activities.
• Promoting and encouraging the SRM Build Sure culture.

Your profile:

• Proficient in GNSS (Trimble) including site calibrations and models.
• Expert in Electronic Total station systems (Trimble), building and ground movement measurements, setting out, control systems, data analysis, error propagation.
• Ability to interpret design, drawings, and data extraction.
• Strong leadership skills and experience delivering multi-million-pound building projects.
• Leading weekly progress meetings, providing detailed reports on the status of packages, identifying delays, and implementing corrective actions.
• Working closely with the design and engineering teams to resolve any technical challenges during the construction phase.
• Experience with NEC contracts and the management of Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
• Good knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Familiarity with construction software packages – Trimble Business Systems, FieldView, 4P, Dalux, and Asta are desirable.
• Familiar with other survey instrumentation on the market (Leica, Topcon etc).
